Her soul

Standing all still and steady, her already dampened spirit being what is left
The corn fields around her, oozing of a sweet free flowing voice
Afraid of the past, she's scared to look over her shoulders
Her gaze now firmly fixed on the horizon
Her already whitened knuckles, bearing hard on her chin
Her ears not grasping what the whispering winds held for her
Over the wild grazing fields, far and beyond reality
Stands him, his stature all tall and bold
His free spirit left wandering all over the woods
With his own thoughts being what separates his spirits from hers
Their spirits given a free reign ,on whether they would bound
That much needed assurance being what was left
To steady their already tired spirits
