Twenty one bullets to bid him farwell.
For the soldier who fought and then died in hell.
The soldier who made it back home from the war.
But no one could see the gaping wound it had tore.
Seven men and women line up for the show.
Fire rifles three times for their gift to bestow.
The soldier took his own life cause the nation failed him.
They sent him to battle and did it all on a whim.
Then he returned home from Hell with no hope to be shared
And all of the nation's people are left wondering who even cared.
Now us soldiers we grieve for a brother we've lost.
While civilians sit unscathed, unaware of our cost.
We'll all go home in silence after sharing our thoughts.
But the truth is he finished the war we've all fought.
