The bedside alarm clock ticks
Mind entangled in a web of hazy thoughts
From missed dinner to corona
To an old flame and anxieties
My stomach is urging me to grab a bite
But my feet won't cooperate
Like stubborn children
Who would always fight
Over petty things
Every now and then.
The night is too quiet
A mere witness to many
Mysterious things that only happens
At nightime and no one
Except those who are awake
At odd hours like this know
About the secrets of the night.
Secrets written in walls
Of broken hearts and
Shattered dreams
Oh,look at the lovely moon
Shining so beautifully
Magical on its own way
It takes my breath away
Like nothing
Or no one ever did
It makes me wonder
How many secrets does it hold
And have seen
In too many lonely nights like this.
