300 miles to phoenix

you are driving on the freeway on the 18-wheeler
it was Christmas Eve if you wanted to get home to your gorgeous wife who you thought was a Steeler then there was your 3 gorgeous kids all waiting for their dad
300 miles away in a blizzard you began to cry how sad
you then put it in high gear you caught the scent up those mountains as fast as you could you went
you made a promise to your kids wife you be home before the sunrise on Christmas Day
the weather the roads or anything else will have to
pay
the price if they keep you from trucking along
so you began to sing a song
your what makes me wake up
everyday i take my coffee in a cup
to see your beautiful face
i work hard not to be a disgrace
300 miles from phoenix but you can bet
thatnI will never quit and my mind is set
i have driven over 1000 miles
To hold my wife and see my kids smile
you had two full tanks
and you have not taken a bath and you stank
you were doing 80 coming down
the mountain road and they were covered in ice
cars everwhere in ditches not very nice
but you didnt stop you had to be in phoenix by sunrise
all of a sudden the Mountain came down on your truck and you were surprise
you thought it was the end and you were starting to say goodbye
you just put that pedal to the metal and went right through that rock slide
you closed your eyes amd began saying good bye to your1 bride
no way you made through nothing touched you
and you kept on trucking down thay avenue
it close to light your wife and kids are outside
as you rolled in the drive way with pride
hou kissed your wife hugged hour kids and you walked inside
You drove 300 miles
to phoenix in the snow and you just smiled
300 miles. to phoenix
300 miles to phoenixc
