Does the sea whisper to the sky
In the night, when no one's looking?
With soft motions, foam still containing
The hidden glow of crimson evening
Does it beg the clouds to notice?
And when heaven responds
Does it do so silently, a blanket of rain
To comfort and protect, to fill what is absent
Or with all the violence of the salty wind
Whipping the waves into unending servitude
