Today I wondered what I would write about
My head was spinning with so many ideas
I wondered if I should write about joy
Or about the things that steal our joy
Maybe about the wars that ravage our lands
Or maybe about how we all pray for peace
Maybe I should wrote about my fears
But writing about dreams sounds a lot better
Or maybe even about the dark thoughts that cross my mind
But I know that whatever it is I write about
Will bear the marks of the burdens on my heart
