Today the sky is bright and blue,
And the roses drenched in the morning dew.
The sun rears its face,
Over the horizon with grace;
Filling my bedroom with it's warm embrace.
How beautiful the morning appears to be,
The same can be said of the one who loved me.
However, this morning is different in it's rise,
For I look upon it with burning eyes;
I think about it with pounding head,
So much so, I wish I were dead.
I feel the bed covers,
As the thought of she hovers,
Feeling them with bones of aching
While beads of tears my checks are staking.
I will myself to get to my feet,
But try as I might, I fall in defeat.
In pain my throat is writhing
Of all the mornings I've been crying,
For the happiness she once gave me,
Now is slowly dying.
I could never fully express,
The degree of the physical toll
That is placed on one's body
After picking up it's broken heart.
Now I lay here on the floor,
With body aching more and more
So I ask of you, Morning,
Please leave me and close the door;
For she doesn't love me anymore.
