A BOY WHO WILL NEVER BE A MAN

A BOY WHO WILL NEVER BE A MAN
19 years, plenty of tears,
Yet a soul so dark, and a painful heart,
Friends and teachers allowed him to thrive,
yet clearly it wasn’t enough to keep him alive,
The mirror mocked his empty stare,
Whispers of failure in the midnight air,
Dreams dissolved like smoke in the rain,
A fragile thread snapped by unseen pain.
The world spun on, indifferent and cold,
Leaving a story forever untold,
He chose his road with free will,
My forgiveness only half-fulfilled
What broke the boy no one can mend,
Nineteen years, and a tragic end.
