A Buried Love

Walking past a graveyard
I noticed one grave far apart
My eyes locked on to it
It felt familiar, but unlike anything I have seen thus far
A seemingly single grave in solitude
For a split second it looked like abstract art
Liking this grave in solitude slowly felt crude
For it hasn't seen much care since it was unused
Divorced of reality I observed this grave carefully
My pace picking up after an abrupt pause in my reality
Leaving this secluded sanctuary
I couldn't shake the thought of this abstract art
Speaking to me, not in words
No
As a distant reality
Distant and alone in a secluded sanctuary
Speaking directly to me
For it had my name written on it
Oh so carefully
A date where my pace picked up
A date where it stopped, putting me down
Of my momentary misery
It is but a short-lived life
Ended with a lasting love
That died within me
Withering with me
In the shadows of a yew tree
