A conversation

“Bonjour!”
“Allez-vous”
There's nothing more magical,
more spellbinding,
than the moment a conversation sparked between us.
The way words flow out of your mouth
so smoothly—
Like treacle cascading and dancing around on a tiny ceramic plate,
sweet and smooth.
You were never a poet,
but,
you were sweet and smooth with words.
You were sweet and smooth with lies.
You always flash me with that captivating smile,
and look at me with those ocean blue eyes,
like Northern lights on the Arctic circle,
or like the wild sight of kaleidoscope sunsets in the painted sky,
I'd wish to look at it over and over again.
I wish I had never took your hand,
had never known your name,
your name that sounds like venom to my ears,
because you were different than I thought you would be.
What a pity for you to use that beauty for evil?
For lust instead of love?
For dying orchids rather than blooming Azaleas,
for impurity instead of innocence.
I take back every letter,
every syllable,
every word,
every paragraph that talked about how much of an angel you are.
Because you weren't one.
You never were.
If every poets could write a hate letter to you,
they would.
Their quill would scream a battle cry for every heart you broke,
every promise you had broken,
every man you killed in your dreams,
and let your ears ache in the sound of it screeching.
“Arrivederci”
“Aurevoir”
As we say our last goodbyes,
our bond had to end for good,
but even as we say this phrase,
I hope to never see you again.
A/N: This poem was pretty messy to say the least, but, I rushed it, so, what's there to be surprised? Lol
Anyway, happy Sunday to you guys!!
