A dead man has no memories
He has no fear, no regret.
He is hollow, cold, unyielding,
Has no passion, owes no debt
I have walked as a dead man, in silence,
Eyes open, head down, no sound.
Often hiding, I'd offer no substance,
As I kept myself close to the ground.
I have risen to join with the living,
To enjoy all the good in this place.
No longer night, from darkness, light,
Head up, for joy, I embrace.
The time of the living is short,
so live your life, don't be a fool.
Be happy, be kind, be grateful,
For death will come for us all.
I do not fear the darkness.
I offer all that I can.
To make the world a better place,
Is to be a living man.
