A great canine

Once there was this dog named Bear

He was a well behaved and calm canine

The best dog ever known , I swear !

He loved chewing on his tennis ball

And playing outside with his frisbee

He would always come when I call

He kept a collection of tiny bones

And remnants from his stuffed toys

In the kitchen in a box at home

He had a bark that was intimidating

But he was just an oversized softy

Having him for a pet was invigorating

We went for long walks every day

Morning , noon and twice at night

But always taking some time to play

He loves going swimming in the lake

But as for rain or getting in the bathtub

He refused to go or not even partake

He had a whisper to speak at dark

His mouth would open but no sound

I taught him to keep a quiet bark

He was my greatest friend I ever had

Together we had so many good times

Since he left I have been very sad

I will forever miss him beyond my life

He will be in my heart for eternity

He's in doggy heaven , where he thrives
