One day last year
Perched in a tree
A majestic creature
A hawk is what we seen
A red-tailed hawk
Is what we suspect
Silently searching
Any movement it detects
Kind of a large bird
Blue Jays take offense
Flying very close
Objecting its presence
Hawks are beautiful
Graceful and accurate
A very lovely animal
That I would love to pet
