Mary romed in the streets of town,
As she continued to curse and frown,
The day her parents moved underground,
And the way her relatives took their ground,
"The word is a place of no peaceful grounds",
Her only hope at then were Sh.20 dimes,
But at the end of the day she would cry and remove a sigh,
In a week her stomach would be satisfied once or rarely twice,
Some people would beat and call her a mice,
"The world is a place of no peaceful grounds",
At the age of six she dreamt of living in a big house,
At the age of fifteen she huddled in garbage sites,
She found her self a roommate who was the mice,
They shared 1001 smells that brought Mary disgrace,
"The world is a place of no peaceful grounds",
She sat down and thought of moving in with her parents,
At the same time she did not want to leave the mice,
She decided to say her good-bye's and travel to 'paradise',
A broken piece of glass was her one ride to 'paradise',
"The world is a place of no peaceful grounds".
