A long way from home

It's been a long way from home,
All my life I've chased the gold,
I got the world finally I'm so close,
But I'm still empty and contain unfilled hole's.
All my life I've chased after my goals,
I got them but now it feels like I'm sitting on a stove,
Tossing every night wishing I could turn these stones,
Always wanting something bigger to comfort my soul.
When the sun shines I beg for rain and plead for the sun's rays to hold,
I guess I'm insatiable,
I learnt how the walk way folds,
but I never learnt the way to walk bold,
I always wanted greatness but never ready to carry the load.
I had to learn to walk with the saviour and place upon me his yolk,
Cus in him I could find the key to my purpose,
But the sinful man would sometimes not want to let go,
I prayed my uncertainties will be over shadowed by faith and hope,
And yearned for Him to lead me above the belows.
I learnt simplicity by the strand's of the rope,
No more chasing I just want to keep company the ones alone,
Be a voice to the stories untold,
Show love to my people on the streets and on the roads,
With God's grace riding me back home.
