A MAIDEN I NEED

When I began to grow
Mama's weak voice was the only voice I knew
I began to speak Mama's language
My first speech was Ma-ma
Mama was of old age
And Mama took care of me with all she had
But Papa was my antipode
I hate him because he was always full of rage
We live just like in a cage
He makes his friends' company as his abode
Mama was always a good mother
And papa was always a bad father
Papa doesn't care if we are okay
And we became like a cast away
Mama wanted to disband
Because she became estranged in her marriage land
Yelling at and refusing Mama's food is all what Papa does
Her eyes became a valley of tears
I woke up one day to meet Mama's room locked
I sat at the entrance waiting for Mama to unlock
I spent the whole day on the floor
But no one was ready to open the door
I wept and searched for Mama but she was not near
Mami, Mami, Mami, I shouted
I reached out for Mama
But she disappeared
I heard people blab; what a poor daughter!
I heard a young female voice from Papa's room
Mama was sent away!
Papa was wicked
She's old and I need a maiden to take care of me;
Papa murmured in my ears
I hate him!
I left the house like a poor orphan girl
I went in search for Mama
But she was no more
