Day after day passed,
Our troubles continued to grow,
The pandemic played its part,
Serving as a huge blow
But we managed to cope with all that,
We kept all hopes alive,
Keeping a new year in mind,
We continued to struggle and strive
At last, the wait is over,
One whole year has come to an end,
The new year will bring many surprises,
And possibly a change of trend
It will be a great chance,
To mend our ways and start off again,
Because no one would like to,
See this new year giving them pain
