a normal everyday outing
horribly gone awry
driving slowly on the normal route
to suddenly be alerted by A yell
lifelessly a body sprawled in the middle
darkness surrounding individuals
sirens
red and blue
was all around
I wonder what happened or if the person even lived
now every time I drive down that everyday route
my mind shifts to that night
visualizing that person lying lifelessly
sprawled out, possibly a victim of a hit and run
