When I've done my best
and it feels like it's not good enough
I feel like a failure
like a total mess
I prepare myself to take every insult
and actions that might come from it
but rather I get a pat on the back
by people I know love me
saying you have done well
that melts my heart
and make me wonder
if they love me better than I love myself...
