A plea to my father

I sleep I wonder I dream Tonight
If the nights will be the same like the last
If you'll raise your voice deep with stench
Filled with liquor alcohol reeking
the father that brought me up
The one who I hugged lovingly while young
Cause the one I see tonight
Is not the one who brought me up
I cry every night for I fear for her life
My mother's cry and screams
The night you pushed her too far
Unaware of the pain you caused my heart
Sobbing up was my way of healing
But, does a father do that to his daughter?
I'm afraid when I look in your eyes
Every pain sipping through the veins
Every slap throbbing on my face
When. I look at you i don't see you
So father,
I plead with you
Be the dad I saw and smile
Not the father I see and cry...
