A Poem About Careers, Business, and Being Underestimated
I wrote this poem because some people might say that you are capable or not ready to do that one thing you want to do most the truth is I know from experience I told my family I wanted to be an astronaut but they said I couldn't even be that I felt I was being judged now I have a different career and I don't mind it know one is getting in our way
They tell me I’m not capable, like I don’t have the drive,
But I’m building up a future where my hustle stays alive.
I’m stacking up my knowledge, turning pressure into plans,
’Cause every doubt they throw at me just strengthens where I stand.
I’m learning how the business world can test a person’s heart,
But I’m sharper than their limits — I’ve been focused from the start.
They say I won’t succeed, but I’m aiming past their view,
’Cause the career I’m chasing now is something they could never do.
I’m rising with intention, turning “can’t” into my fuel,
And every time they count me out, I prove them wrong in full.
I’m carving out my pathway with a purpose they can’t see —
Success hits different when it’s built by someone told they’d never be.
