Poets have the courage
to lay themselves out bare
to put in words what most of us
wouldn't even think dare
Poets have a way with words
that makes you feel their pain
with simple words they put out there
their unworthiness disdain
I wish I could be a poet too
bare my soul to see, for all
and ease the pain inside, each time
tears from my eyes fall
