Oh early light that doth break through the night,
How fair thy beams doth paint the sky in gold!
The world awakens from its dreams in sight
Of beauty that thy rays so deft unfold.
Thou giveth life to all that thou dost touch,
And bringeth forth the dew from drooping leaves.
The birds doth sing thy praises for as much
As thou doth grant them freedom to believe.
Oh how thy light doth shine upon us all,
And fill our hearts with hope and with delight.
Thy rays doth chase the darkness from its pall,
And lift our souls up to a wondrous height.
So let us revel in thy gentle glow,
And bask in all the splendor thou doth show.
