A sinners prayer

Lord, I come with heavy shame,
No alibi, no one to blame.
I’ve wandered far from Heaven’s gate,
But now I kneel and seek Your grace.
My hands are stained, my heart is torn,
A soul once bright now bruised and worn.
Yet in this dark, I see Your light—
A flicker faint, but burning bright.
Forgive me, Lord, for all I’ve done,
The battles lost, the fights I’ve won.
Each step away was paved with pride,
But now I’ve nowhere left to hide.
I lift my eyes through tears and dust,
I place my soul into Your trust.
Cleanse me, shape me, make me new,
Wash me in mercy, pure and true.
I’m just a sinner, saved by grace,
Longing to see Your holy face.
So here I am—my spirit bare,
Wrapped in this humble, sinner’s prayer.
