A Sonnet

Lost in the fears of my own mind I dwelt ,
"Symptoms", they said "of my low state of health".
But The pain, anguish, and shame that I felt,
Seemed an endless torture, brought on myself.
On my friends so dear I would turn my back,
Too Ashamed to share this wicked nightmare,
So alone I'd try to get back on track,
But wishing each day, for them to be there.
From doctor to doctor, from pill to pill,
Searching for something to ease all this pain,
From therapy to quacks I took my fill,
Though still these demons would call out my name.
But the day that Mani came into sight,
Was the day I saw my first glimpse of light.
