One day I was lucky to run into a lady
that was nice and beautiful and not shady
she was smart and classy
have a gorgeous smile was big and sassy
She was at the top of her game and in a groove
She was total control of every move
She was what every man dreams about
She was classy smart ambitious and knew what she wanted without a doubt
she set the standards she knew how to act like a lady
She was straightforward never lied she has never been shady
She said these days when I go out on a date
You can’t be short bald or fat and you can never be late
She will not go out with a man that’s high and looks like he's in a trance a man who is grumpy or a man who can’t dance
She won’t go out with you if you can’t stand up straight and look her in the eye or if you look like a bum she will just tossed you out the gate
I won’t go out with a man if he is a fink or acts like a clown or needs a bath because he stinks
She smiles and says if you had once lived in a cell turn around and don’t ring my bell
She needs to be wined and dined and you must be very kind
She won’t go out with you in the rain on a train or if your man with no brain
You need to be a gentleman and open the doors and be generous and tip the man just working the floor
Better not be lazy and do all your chores definitely not be hazy
Even if you rich this will not impress her or set her fire she won't go out with you if you're a snob a cheater or a liar
Hell my mama told me never give it away for free if you broke a loser or crook you won't be catching this fish for no hook
So what do you look for in a date that my friend is not open for debate
She smiled at me every woman has their own standards you see that's a secret for me alone I don’t give nobody that recipe
I won't ever say what attracts my eyes maybe fate but when someone asked me out for a date
He better be dressed nice be able to pour me a drink with ice and God help him if he’s late
He will be courteous and understand that he has to wait for me to finish dressing for our date
Because my daddy told me that that you catch more flies with honey than with money
He raised me to be a strong willed successful confident women every man's dream
She respects others like they should respect her she will never yell or scream
She is in complete control and worth all that money for the right man that can turn her into honey
then she turned to me and said thanks sonny then she chuckled and said now that was funny
