It was gonna be their last night together.
Tonight, they were saying " goodbye " forever.
Although they fell in love over a summer's bliss.
Each other, they will miss.
When they each go back into the real world, a different life is awaiting.
There is no more searching and dating.
They have families who love them but sadness surrounds them to.
They both fell out of love with their partners, they were the ones being untrue.
Now after romancing each other,
A life of loveless matrimony they found through another.
They couldn't resist spending every night of their summer together.
But now, going back to a life without each other.
They don't know if they could ever be happy being apart from another.
Time will heal the pain,
Of memories in the rain.
They will always have summer of 2018
Back in their minds, of one beautiful dream.
Wherever they go, the stars will follow them so.
Love inside their hearts can only grow,
Because they loved each other so.
