On the outside they push people away,
But deep within their hearts they're simply scared.
They may say they don't need help,
But they're the ones who need it the most.
They use music and other things to drown out the world,
When they should be talking with those they have around them.
They use drugs and smoking and vaping,
To hide behind so nobody will see how much they are crying out for help.
Take it from someone whose been there,
Who pushed people away and felt as though nobody would understand.
The person who self-harmed and attempted suicide at times,
But the same person who had so much to give this world.
As we all do on this planet,
And it's okay to admit that you need help.
That you're lost or that you're struggling with inner demons,
Everybody around you is even if they may not be the same as yours.
