It was cold tonight

Freeze a lake
My parents were mad
I was mad
My brother hated me
I walked out
Right along the lake
I was throwing rocks
Making the ice weak
I heard my name
I saw my brother and growled
I ran on the icy lake
He was right behind me
He yelled
I backed away
He pushed me
Causing me to fall
When I fell
I broke through
The icy water
The muffled yelling
It was peaceful
When I woke up
I was behind my brother
Who was crying
And hunched over something
When I looked
I saw my body
I was dead
I smiled and hugged
My brother
One last time
I said I loved him
"It was an accident"
I whispered
