All dreams die in case time is out numbered.
It's only in the face of tragedy I've realized through my life I've slumbered.
I've been panicked & frantic searching for that temporary fix.
Not realizing my addiction might lead to that final deadly mix.
Day in & day out i ride the roller coaster up & down.
For the highs & the lows the good with the bad.
Trying to escape dreams & memories of a future i did & could've had.
Doubling the dose each time just to reach the same high.
While lying on the floor staring at the sky,
& only wishing i could die.
I never considered the ravages upon my mind, body & soul.
But little by little i gave them away.
Allowing the devil to get closer to his goal of devouring me whole.
Caged & pacing, now in a cell.
I've arrived at a substation on the pathway to my own hell.
Or possibly a momentary reprieve,
a subtle gift of grace from God for me to recieve.
Total reliance on God, in faith he's been my rehabilitation.
'Cause of a subtle gift of God, that of salvation.
In time His will, will also be mine
& in faithful purpose i will tow the line.
& come to cross the finish line.
Out now! My freedom the Lord has been faithful to restore.
& a promise kept, all the more reason for him i must adore.
Now, All dreams die in case time is out numbered.
How long in your addictions have you slumbered?
