Addiction is a cunning enemy,
Starting off as a friend and way out,
People start as something to do,
Or when ready to scream and shout.
Just one or two turns into three or four,
But then addiction comes in and becomes way way more .
It will talk to u, and push u, till your at ur wits end .
Then that one little addiction, becomes less then a friend.
Will drag u down, to lie cheat and steal,
To keep up with how it makes u feel.
It will ruin lives and things around you,
Taking everything and all you have too.
Addictions will kill if not looked after,
If you can't stop the it, it will stop you.
With help one can maintain life of sobriety,
With different sources and alot of variety.
Addiction is like, a blood sucking vampire,
Will suck the life right out of its host.
With a higher power and strength from above.
Addiction the vampire will have nothing to shove.
Hiding away under a bed, empty and weak,
Is where it will stay, until the addict uses another day.
And out it will come twice as powerful, with teeth as sharp as a knife,
Where it will come to end a life.
So be stronger then the blood sucking beast,
And live an new life with out giving it a feast.
