As a twenty-three month old
Being placed in foster care
Some would think thats scarey
But its not always what it seems
New parents who care
Parents who love you
People to teach you
Family that is Sober
Folks who want you around
People you call mom and dad
Not being abused
Not being locked in a room
Not being yelled at
Not being hated
Being adopted can be good
It can be awesome
Some people could have it bad
Some could have it worse
Adoption could be a better life
You could have a good future
Do things you never thought
Have the best family imaginable
