I'm struggling with
My identity
Being torn from
Who I am
Who people expect me to be
And my God given destiny
Three forces
So opposing
Each mask
Contridicting the next
Like an eternal test
I get no rest
Struggling to find
The true me
And true meaning
And coping with who I've been
And who I am
Never meeting anyone's expectations
Is there freedom
From this bondage
That's my life question
Uncomfortable within
My own skin
Trying to win
Exception
I can't help it
I'm different
From looks
To thoughts
To feelings
And actions
I definitely don't fit it
With churchchurch
Society
Family
Or friends
So I continue to walk this earth
As an outcasted
Alien
