Swore I would always be true

There's nought I'd not do for you...
There's no living in a house of glass
There's no slowly watching time pass
There's no going backward in time
There's no time you were not mine...
Yes, we had an argument
For with a stable life you were not content
You felt you'd be happier running free
So like a thief in the night you left me...
You ran into trouble a really bad jam
An ex love said you belong to him, named Sam
He needed a correction of attitude
For to our children he was being rude...
I met him in his favourite drinking place
Explained the rules of giving space
He raised his hands for he wanted to fight
His name was changed when found that night...
His name was no longer Sam... He was now Matt...
(Broken arms and legs will do that to one...)
I will protect my family, children and wife
Even if it means laying down my life
I also made a promise to protect my country
My heart and soul are true red, white, and blue...
