My face was red and swollen with weeping
And on my eyelids was the shadow of death
The world turned deaf ear to my reasons
My word of futile wind had no endless
The world had gaped at me with their mouths
They struck me upon the cheek insolently
My mighty sky was delivered to the mercy of the ground
My poor sky once high and mighty
Even the simple laugh at my misfortune
My friends spilled empty words one after the other
They became physician of no value
And had no remedy to offer
In my disarray and hopeless
I remember the preacher's words
If you'd humble your self
and call on God
if you can abhor yourself
And repent in dust
My soul cried with surrender
Lord Jesus that I may know you and your resurrection power
And the fellow of your sufferings
being made conformable unto your death
If by any means I might
Attain unto resurrection of the dead
I accept, I believe, I confess
And there was light.
