An Illuminous Plight

It’s hard to get paid for a freeverse.
It’s hard to imagine if you can’t see first.
It’s hard to understand, unless I stand under your feet.
It’s hard to expand when that creative moment is obsolete.
So it’s hard not to refer to continuous development.
And it’s hard to not prefer, or keep it true without forced embellishments.
It’s hard to be discursive with a meaningful purpose.
But it’s hard to be assertive without feeling so worthless.
It’s hard to live without enhancements & substances.
But it’s hard to feel fulfilled if I’m attracted to nothingness.
It’s hard not to exchange clarity for depth.
But it’s already hard to keep psychological faculties in check.
It’s not hard to keep it real & brand these bars.
But it’s hard to resist the temptation of advancing my guard.
It’s hard to have a shared vision with different eyes of a tube.
It’s hard to collaborate if everybody depicts a different side of a cube.
How is it hard to choose a desired-result over a desired-method?
But it’s hard to choose experience over an ideogrammatic lesson.
It’s hard to have revenge against her, when the truth is I just miss her:…
…[Succession], because I’m always going somewhere when I’m with her.
