An Introvert's Pen

It's nice to have this time,
As brief as it may be.
To quiet the noise around us,
Turning off the world to some degree.
Sometimes I'm able to recognize,
When someone has buried immense heartache.
It's a massive weight to carry,
Inexplicably deep with no effectual escape.
Everyone suffers every now and then,
When life throws a curve ball in the game.
Everyone copes very differently,
Because, obviously nobody is the same.
It's not that you choose to continue to suffer,
It feels like it has a mind of its own.
You only needed presented another,
Way to work through it and be shown.
You are not weak minded,
You can move on from your past.
You're much stronger than you realize,
Hurt may come, but doesn't have to last.
I have two things to offer,
Bidding your willingness to take.
The first is only a moment,
To simply breathe, and take a break.
The other offer that I bare,
Is more important between the two.
An action pointing to achieve relief,
From the results of what you've walked through.
Please, accept my suggestion, and,
This pen and paper that I'm sharing.
It may seem dull and ordinary,
But, it can release the burden you've been carrying.
Write every detail of what you felt,
Your hand will start to drift.
With each agonizing word you write,
Your unbearable pain will accomplish a shift.
It may be painful to re-experience,
While you dig up buried memories.
But, to reach your healing destination,
It is absolutely necessary.
As your hand relives your sorrow,
Of what your past can not undo.
Let the ink tear down the walls,
Your struggle has built around you.
Writing through pain may become habit,
When you feel it slip away.
You'll free what's been kept hidden,
With this pen's ability.
