an ode to my sister

An ode to you my sister.
You had the passion to live and live well ,
The truth had reedemed you ,
Showed us the path of the light ,
Had you the ability to demand ,
You d hav given us heaven itself ,
You travelled light and loved deeply ,
Served all in humility and so much joy ,
Everychild was your joy ,
And every one your ministry ,
Rest well Nancy ,
Remember you walking at nite from crusades ,
Late evenning fellowship ,
Braving the cold and the misunderstanding of us all ,
Commanding the dogs that were fierce ,
To shut up and they would in Jesus name ,
You held on , you persevered and stood up in Christ ,
Abused , beaten and betrayed , forgave and lived ,
Will miss your dreams and high expectations of us all ,
You served us even when none could and smiled
Statement enough to encourage anyone .
I will not lose you , i have you as you lived .
Miss your strength amidst lack ,
Your resolute focus unto growth for even when you seemed stagnant yourself ,
Your offsprings born in all sort of adversity ,
Yet you forged beautiful beings , sure and clear ,
And sincerely polite , thank you .
You may have lived as a prisoner of hope but your efforts,
Will not be lost , you are a memory in peace and a treasure am grateful to have known .
Walked with you at times to monitor you for our mum ,
Coz she was concerned that you were overdoing service,
But trusted you only if i could relay that message that those people loved you ,
And you prevailed over and above all .
Reign with Christ my sister , enjoy your reward and crown,
I will surely carry on and relay the message to my nephew and niece .
On the weddings i will see them as you ,
I will be glad as you would be ,
And will never allow anyone to talk them down,
They will sour as much as they can ,
They are you as from now .
They are the children of the righteous ,
Mighty in the land .
I look on the messages of my friends and wish they knew who you have been ,
How you have reached the uttermost parts of service ,
Not for pay ,but for a calm call few understood ,
That you could take over for your sisters and brothers,
Even against oppressive opposition,
That your silent anger would talk volumes to wrong attitudes
You are a gem in strength and courage ,
Nancy your name meant grace and grace you dispensed.
