And Now, I Bring You Fire.
I wept for you, on the inside,
On the outside, remained so stoic.
I burned with a relentless flame,
Once snuffed by a past fatality.
I could not see through your guise,
The mask you wore had fooled the world.
I came to you in the time most pivotal,
You watched as my body was doused in gasoline.
What happened next, far too graphic,
For weak hearts do read my works.
But you knew what you were doing,
When that lighter took light.
You knew I would burst into flames,
You knew I would scream in agony.
Still, you left me to burn alone in those moments,
A time where all I had to give was yours.
Now I've returned, somehow unscathed,
And now I bring you fire.
Fire that's to you, forever cold to the touch.
When warmth is your need, a cold shoulder.
You've taught me one thing, perseverance.
Now suffer in your own frozen wastelands.
