I pen my thoughts down,
In a language so raw,
The world, my audience,
My voice, not a flaw.
From Maroo I come,
In Kisii County,
A Kenyan poet,
My words, bounty.
I write of my life,
Of love and of pain,
My emotions poured,
On paper, they stain.
My words, like a balm,
To wounded souls,
A soothing embrace,
Their hearts console.
The power of verse,
To heal and inspire,
A gift I treasure,
A passion, my fire.
As my poems spread,
Far and wide they roam,
The world embraces,
My thoughts, my home.
In awe, they read,
The depth of my soul,
My words, a mirror,
Their truth, a goal.
And the world said Amen,
To my words, my voice,
My poetry, a gift,
To the world, my choice.
For in every heart,
My words, they find,
A spark of hope,
A light, to shine.
And the world said Amen,
To my pen, my ink,
My poetry, a legacy,
For generations to link.
