I'm a mother
A lover
A fighter
A wife
A daughter
A friend
I'm an everything to everybody.
Never knowing which version I must play.
Some days more of a mother.
Other days I'm an everything.
My fighting spirit screaming within.
Down on my knees pleading.
Why so many parts?
Screaming at me to try harder.
My mind going you are fucking up.
One day to smiles another to tears.
Strangers saying get back up.
Why to fall yet again?
Nobody to see why us women go crazy.
Why we cry.
Why we scream, much less the many ways that we bleed.
Blaming ourselves.
Hating the little time to get so much done.
A little life relying on me to never give up.
A husband needs must be met.
My friends need me.
My parents expecting to be proud.
Stupid some call me.
Questioning every move that I make.
Piling on more every day.
My brother is calling he needs me again.
Fighting for rights of my child.
Trying to make a change.
Trying to be sane and not fall a part.
Another day hoping I can just survive.
