Water rains down ,
stinging delicate flesh.
Muffling my cries ,
hiding them from the world.
My knee's buckle,
my body gives way.
Falling on the ground ,
I see the shower's drain.
The ice water is scorching,
compared to your cold shoulder.
My tears camouflage,
but oh ,
how their sadness radiate.
The feeling of not being needed -
the sadness of being put last.
How does one come to terms with that?
How do I get used to it?
My heart's throbbing,
my throat's sore.
It hurts ,
but it isn't the first.
Wiping away my tears -
confrontation awaits.
You look at me -
everything almost forgotten.
A smile appears -
but hell ,
that's all you see.
