Turning back pages of my life
I see so much misery and strife
Just how did I get through it all
Who was there to catch my fall
Who said a silent prayer for me
And only wishing me the best
Crossing their fingers for me
In hopes I would pass the test
I see Mom kneeling at her bed
Praying God would find me
Many sleepless nights she had
Not knowing where I may be
Whisper, Father, keep him safe
Please guide him through life
May he find his way back to you
When his searching is through
How I wish she was here to see
How God has turned me around
There's a little sadness in me
But I know she's safe and sound
Resting in her Father's care
One day I'll meet her there
And I'll thank her for it all
Being there to catch my fall
But I know what she'd say
Son, I did it only out of love
For mere words are not enough
I'll hug her and say it anyway
