Around You, or With You
Some stand around you, forming a crowd
Their voices are many, their laughter loud
Yet in their circle, you feel alone
Surrounded, but somehow on your own
They see your smile, not your scars
They stay nearby, but never far
They orbit your light, like distant stars
Close in sight, but not in heart
Then come the few, quiet and true
Who don’t just stand they stand with you
No walls, no masks, no borrowed space
Just warmth that time cannot erase
Around you, the world may spin and fade
But with you love and trust are made
For crowds may gather, and still you’ll feel apart
Till someone stands beside your heart
