She looks towards the ocean side,
There is where a lot of secrets hide.
The birds fly low, the birds fly high.
Beautiful words, oh how she sighs.
The sun is down, as she looks out to the sky.
Time to bid the day goodbye.
With all these secrets she holds in her heart.
Hoping one day her world doesn't fall apart.
Nobody really knows how sad she feels.
From fantasy to reality, sometimes, she can't tell which one is real.
After the accident, her mind sometimes fades.
She puts on her mask most of the days.
The life she is living is one big charade.
The best place to feel at peace is at the ocean side.
That is where all her feelings she can hide.
People have come and gone and some remain a memory.
She takes out her book and begins to write her story.
Somedays are good and some are bad.
Some are happy and some are sad.
But she still stands on her own two feet.
From crawling to jumping was one big leap.
And this is the girl who never gave up.
One day at a time, that's enough.
