The crickets are noisy tonight
They chirp back and forth
Do they know its almost midnight?
The loud sounds they should abort
I remember one night years ago
A cricket came inside my bedroom
Woke me up at three in the morning
It chirped like it was a playroom
I heard it for an hour or two
So loud it echoed in the ears
I couldn't sleep for that time
Not until the sound disappeared
A few days later I had seen it
I opened the window up a bit
Pushed it toward the bottom
It crawled out, the end of it
Crickets are annoying to some
Some find them very relaxing
They can keep you up for hours
Or they will have others napping
