It's that time of year
So soon? heaven forbid
The days get shorter
Schools busy with kids
The winds get cooler
Leaves change too
Red orange and yellow
Means they'll fall soon
Animals will soon hide
Except a few that are bold
Insects will disappear
To protect against the cold
Mornings will be chilly
Time to sit in the sun
The heat is welcomed
The warmth loved a tonne
It means winter is close
The air will feel so frigid
Frostbite is possible
From being outside just a bit
Time to wear sweaters
And some long john's
In the freezing weather
You wouldn't want to dress wrong
