What if I can't afford a feature or an extended highlight?
Should I continue to sculpt a metaphor & keep my rhyme tight?
What if I'm nobody's favorite & become the least popular?
Should I continue for the remnant who uses their binoculars?
What if I don't find a woman I can call my lady..
Should I use them as tools act all fugazi?
If I don't receive a cash prize or a gift..
Should I lower my worth & neglect the notion that I am a gift?
What if the ratio of who I follow & who is following are uneven?
Is that a good enough stat to use as a reason..
To stop writing? Nope, absolutely not.
Values are not in the numbers, but in the sincerity of what you drop.
Should I write for rankings & receive appraisals?
Or for the satisfaction of my own creations?
What if I say "I'm the greatest", like Muhammad Ali, would I get kicked to the curb?
I got to be the best that I can be, according to my terms.
