beautifully broken

In this beautifully broken world,
Where truths remain unspoken,
I find solace in my madness,
In the gaps between words, unbroken.
A drop kisses the ocean,
A triumph of beauty, unspoken,
In the mist of my mind,
Where I am beautifully broken.
She, the object of my affection,
Deeper than any love I've known,
Her demeanor, a dangerous dance,
A delightful distraction I can't condone.
But in another realm, a world exists,
Where I am simply me, nothing more,
Where understood jokes and cool friends abide,
With the girl I love, barriers no more.
A world devoid of fear and pain,
Comfortably wealthy, everything just right,
Exists only in my third eyes,
Painted on sleepless nights, vividly bright.
I carry this world wherever I roam,
A creation of my own, unseen by their sight,
My third eyes design a reality far from reach,
A desire to experience it, even for a fleeting night.
But perfection is monotonous, daunting,
Lacking everything but its own perfection,
The world is unfair, happiness a fleeting sensation,
Yet, I persist, dreaming of a distant destination.
Faith is what they call it, this extraordinary vision,
Where wondrous dreams fail to become reality,
Yet we cannot stop dreaming, so we persist,
Continuing to imagine a world of possibility.
For just a moment, I long to be there,
In a world that exists beyond my grasp,
In its imperfection, there is beauty,
A place where I can find solace at last.
