But what of her pain?
Therein lies the true beauty
Not her hair or nails or face
But the pain that pushed her to escape
Behind the skin deep
And physical pain of keeping up with trends
The pain that once caused a wish for her life to end
The pain that broke her
The pain that had her down...but never out
The beauty in the strength of knowing she could live without
Without tears and heartache
Without the constant crutch of others
That pain that shattered her soul...when creating another
And by God it is beautiful
The strength in those tears, that water floats on top like oil
And the passion wilted in her heart, causing her blood to boil
The pain of her eyes telling stories of hope
and then let down with every "No"
The back stabbing pain of the friendships she would outgrow
Its amazing to think of
That pain so strong it should have won
Which is what makes it so beautiful
To see that pain become undone
